Presidents Report 18th April 2018

Dear Rotarians and Friends,
Another interesting week for us last week as we had Cliff drill into us some important principles on communication and how we can use it to improve every aspect of our daily lives.
Unfortunately, at this stage I don’t know how the BBQ at Melbourne Polytechnic went but I am sure that with Brian’s great organising, we will again see a good result for the Club. Thank you to those members who were able to assist!
It is rather sad that the Tramboat has been delayed, as I know that Merle spent a lot of time and effort into trying to get it going. No doubt we can revisit the trip at a later date and still do it.
Rona is trying to organise an evening at the Venuto Club in Bulleen for Sunday April 22. It may be a bit short notice, but please let Rona know if you would like to go.
This week sees a some ‘mystery’ speakers and story tellers. Should be a fun evening as we hear from some of our own and maybe even have a good laugh or two.
For Board members, we have a Board meeting at 5.30pm this week with the regular meeting moved to 6.30pm for a 7.00pm start.
As our Rotary year enters the last quarter, we are in a winning position so keep up the hard work and remember our theme as we go about our daily business – ‘Making a Difference’ – a motto that I have no doubt we can all live up to.
See you all this week…
Yours in Rotary,
Ian Bushby
