Ingrid Svendsen

Ingrid-Svendsen

Pictured here is Ingrid Svendsen who will be talking on the “East Timor Hearts Fund – Saving Lives, Changing Lives”. Ingrid is the inaugural chair and honorary communications adviser of the East Timor Hearts Fund and her career has spanned media, government and public relations, which has been a great foundation for the broad demands of this role. Together with Glyn Palmer, the then CEO of St John of God Hospital Warrnambool and Dr Noel Bayley she started East Timor Hearts Fund in 2010, and it was formally incorporated in August 2012. As chair, Ingrid oversees the whole organisation. It’s very busy as the organisation has grown rapidly and now has a board of eight, as well as a team of highly professional volunteer workers. Their support enables her to focus on ensuring that ETHF fulfils its potential in helping more young East Timorese heart patients get treatment.

NOTE: East Timor Hearts Fund, a community based medical aid charity, and our friends are doing Run Melbourne to raise $20,000 to provide life-saving heart surgery to Tomas Pinto. Please help us make sure Tomas gets the help he needs – join or sponsor our team! If you would like to donate, please contact “East Timor Hearts Fund – Saving Lives, Changing Lives”.
