Information Evening – Rotary Club of Rosanna

The Rotary Club of Rosanna is holding an information evening at Rosanna Fire Station Community House on Wednesday August 9th at 7pm.

Address: 232 Lower Plenty Road, Rosanna. RSVP 6th August

Rosanna Rotary Club has initiated many valuable life enhancing projects both locally and internationally. For instance, one of our members started the Bone Marrow Foundation; a life changing organisation. Our members have also initiated projects from setting up an exemplary primary school in Bali to building toilet blocks in India to enable girls to continue their education after puberty.

Locally, we provide bursaries, mentor local schools and contribute to local charities to help deal with community needs and participate in projects like fence rebuilding after bushfires.

Rotary is a non-denominational, non-political organisation with over one million members in branches worldwide. The Rotary Foundation is the largest charitable fund in the world and is the source of many grants for projects all over the world. It has been instrumental in eliminating polio worldwide.

If you have thought about helping to improve your community through volunteering but are not sure how to get involved, Rotary provides an avenue. It is made up of many people like you who would welcome you and get you involved.

The time commitment and workload for each member is minimal. In our club it involves volunteering to help with things like monthly sausage sizzles and other special events. Each month we have two to three zoom meetings and at least one face to face meeting. Members are expected to attend when they can but attendance is not compulsory at all meetings. Everyone is kept informed of club activities through our excellent weekly newsletter and website.

We are looking for both male and female members, but especially female members who are the multitaskers and networkers in our community. If you would like to volunteer and want to understand and influence your local community and have your voice heard, especially a female voice, this is your opportunity!

Please come to one of our meetings. We want to listen to your views and have you consider Rotary fitting in your life. We want you to help us make our world a better place starting locally!
